Accurate identification of pumpkins is a bit complicated. However, pumpkins grown in winter are sweet in taste and pumpkins grown in monsoon are known as field pumpkins. The fruits, flowers, stems and leaves of this creeper tree are used as vegetables.

 Medicinal Properties of Vegetable Pumpkin:-

    Pumpkin seeds have medicinal properties. It is deworming, diuretic and chemical.

Use in Curing Disease:-

  1. Applying leaf juice on the burnt area gives relief.
  2. Insect bite venom is destroyed by applying paste of the dried stem of the ripe fruit.
